This was just too good to be true. It is New Year's Eve and I go to look something up on Google. What do you think they used for the New Year's Eve animation? Take a look...
I mean, really. Of all the things they could have chosen to use, they picked elephants. Elephants who are blowing up balloons with their trunks. This is awesome. Thank you Google.

Elephun Wednesday
This helpful fellow will make sure you never forget your keys again. Besides, who doesn't want to carry around a tiny pachyderm in their pocket?

Elephun Wednesday
Ok people, this is it. With this post I am all caught up with the Elephun Wednesday posts.
I don't think those wings are big enough. Not only do I not think he will ever get off the ground, it looks like he is being crushed by his own weight just sitting on the ground.
I don't have any idea what happened here. Obviously some sort of horrible accident and just like with Humpty Dumpty, all the king's horses and all the king's men could not put him back together. Well, at least not the way he used to be.
I hope you all had a happy Thanksgiving. I hope you all had a normal turkey. Because this turkeyphant is disturbing and I don't think he would taste very good. Not that normal turkey tastes very good anyway. But that's just my opinion.
And this guy was actually put up today. I can not remember the last time that happened. Here we have an elephant who is afraid of the dark and some nice boy flying in to make him feel better with his bright, pointy banana.

At your service! With his elephant arms I bet he could carry a million bags at once.
Well, I can't think of a time when you would need an anchor and an elephant. They seem like they would be kind of redundant.
Try your luck with this lottery ticket. Everyone hopes to win big but most people just get peanuts.
Apparently this guy is having a bad day so he wants everyone else to have a bad day too. Why else would he choose to pout in the middle of the street.
No. This guy is not dressed up for Halloween. But don't feel bad. I made the same mistake. This guy is having an x-ray done. And I'm no doctor but I think I can spot a few problems. Maybe they shouldn't have let him bring that...lollipop?, pipe?, shillelagh?, or what ever it is into the x-ray machine with him.

Elephun Wednesday
As you may have noticed I have not posted in a while. Who am I kidding, no one reads this thing, not even the Shipping Monkeys so it can't possibly matter. But I have been distracted lately. I will not apologize. And the Monkeys won't complain because I have been snapping at people less recently. But I NEED to make sure there is a record of all of the Elephun Wednesday pictures. And since I have missed so many of them I will put them up in installments from oldest to newest.
First we have this little guy who is the teacher's pet. Which means none of the other students like him. But he will show them later when he sells his internet company for millions of dollars and they are working at Burger King.
My tardiness has made this seem random but it is not. See, this fellow is hard at work. Which made sense at the time we put it up because it was in honor of labor day.
This proves that even Mother Nature loves elephants. I'm not sure the people in the path of this hurricane could appreciate how cool this was but I certainly did.
Pachyderms spread love wherever they go. Well, this one does anyway. Maybe not all of them. Some of them trample people.
This is an example of what I was just talking about. This is not spreading love. This is more on the trampling side of things.

Elephun Wednesday - Long Over Due
Okay. I have been remiss. The weeks just go by so fast that it is Elephun Wednesday again before I realize it. Please understand that the computer wallpaper was always changed on schedule. It was just my blogging that fell behind. I mean, we do know what our priorities are.
So here are lots of Elephun Wednesday pictures for you to peruse.
He's about to blow! Literally. You might want to stand back because this does not look like it is going to end well for anyone.

Ahh. Who doesn't like a big bowl of rice. Good luck to this little guy. I have trouble using chop sticks and I have fingers. I can't even imagine how hard it would be trying to use them with a trunk.

I'm a superhero! This poor things looks like someone just told him that elephants can't fly. All his dreams have been dashed. But there is always hope that he gets bit by a radioactive wasp or something. So you should never give up.
I'm sure whatever story this pedantic blowhard is telling it is long and boring and has something to do with his yacht. He is a Commonwealth Salon sort of fellow. He probably hangs out with Aaron after work.
Awww! Isn't that cute? These two prove that no matter your differences, friendship overcomes them all. How sweet.

It's a sign!
What it is a sign of, I have no idea. But it can't be just a coincidence that this random piece of tape took on the shape of an elephant. It is a phenomenon so spectacular that it has been compared to the grilled cheese Jesus. Something big is coming. What else can it mean?
Elephun Wednesday
This poor fellow is past his prime. But he is probably still faster than some other pachyderms we know.
let's face it, I can't even tell you who is playing. So enjoy - if you like that sort of thing.
Happy Fourth of July! Everybody's favorite day of the year to do really stupid things that end up with digits flying everywhere. Good luck!

Elephun Wednesday
Happy National Ice Cream Soda Day! Yes, that is a thing. And to celebrate we are having a nice cold glass of pachyderm. With a cherry on top, of course.

Elephun Wednesday
I'm not sure about this guy. He is obviously willing to defend his country with everything he has. But... I don't really know if I would feel safe about that. I am uncertain which side would sustain the most damage.
This is the Heliphant. Isn't he cute? I'm sure normally he is a perfectly delightful guy. I can only assume that this was right after someone took his sandwich.
This is from a Hindu temple. I would actually like to know the story behind this guy. I'm sure it would be very interesting. But I might have to read a book or something and that seems like a lot of work.

Moody's Defeats Wich It
Everyone knows how I feel about Wich It. I think is sucks. But I have finally defeated my sandwich foe. After some bad sandwiches and some bad reports the guys finally agree with me that we should never eat at Wich It again.
Alan got the Banh Mi. He also approved. For what that's worth. Henry, of course, warned him against getting the Banh Mi but it seems to have worked out.
In an attempt not to stuff ourselves we decided not to get any sides. We did not need any. Despite the initial worry we had when we saw the tiny bag (well, tiny as compared to the Sam LaGrassa's bag) all the sandwiches fit in the sandwich was just the right size.
We will be going back.
It didn't hurt that we found Moody's just a few minutes away. It is so close even Babbit can walk there. And the sandwiches are awesome.
Henry and I got the Tex Mex. Henry got extra hot pepper spread on the side and added all of it. I thought mine could have used a little more heat but it already had a little kick so I don't know how he could taste the meat over the hot peppers. But the sandwich was filling and delicious.
Danny...Boy and Bee Hee split the Carolina Pulled Pork and the Katz (they got the mustard on the side because they are scared of mustard now because of Wich It.) They said both were really good and the pulled pork was not smothered in BBQ sauce but had just enough. So I might even like it.

Elephant in the Wild
This is a combination Elephant in the Wild and a kudos. Because Fishy Fishy definitely deserves a shout out for bringing in these wonderful peanut snacks. They are awesome. Sometimes Fishy Fishy is my hero.

Elephun Wednesday Anniversary!!
Today is a very special day. Today is the two year anniversary of Elephun Wednesday. That's right, we have been doing this for two years. If there is one thing you can say about the Shipping Monkeys it is that they never let anything go. So I'm sure we will have many more anniversaries.
The very first Elephun Wednesday picture was this one:
Here are a few others that you may remember...
I don't have room to put them all up here. But they are all posted on this blog so you can go back and revisit them all. Which one was your favorite? Can you even pick just one? There have been a lot of great pictures in the last two years.
Have fun on this very special day and celebrate by adopting an elephant today.

This very athletic guy is competing in... rock throwing? (I'm sure that's not the real name but I don't care.) And I'm sure he is going to win. He has elephant arms after all so he is very strong. he should just be careful because his kilt is getting a bit high. And no one wants to see that. Except for maybe Henry. But we won't talk about that.

Elephun Wednesday
I go to Philly and leave these guys alone for one week and this is what happens. I don't even know what to say about this. I mean, what is even going on?
This goofy bastard has finally finished his race. It must have been a long one because it looks like he has been running it for two years. Congratulations!!
This one is a special request from Fishy Fishy. It is apparently an album cover from a band that only Fishy Fishy has ever heard of. It's definitely weird. But I like it.

Elephun Wednesday
So, it's Holy Week and what better way to honor this very solemn occasion than with a pope themed Elephun Wednesday. That is one huge peanut. I hope the pope appreciates the sacrifice that this elephant is making in giving up such a prize.
Happy Birthday!!!!!
Today is Babbit's birthday! And to celebrate I baked him a cake. Well, that was actually yesterday. And several people pointed out that he should have had his cake on his birthday. Yeah, yeah, yeah, green relish. I baked the stupid cake when I had time to bake the stupid cake and it seemed stupid to let it sit around for a day getting stale before I brought it in. So there.
Babbit, and everyone else liked the awesome coconut three layer cake. And it was rather pretty, if I do say so myself.
And then today, for his birthday lunch, that we ate on his actual birthday, he picked Tutto's. That is always a good choice. So good job on that one, Babbit.
