Ok. So this little guy is getting posted really late. Quite frankly it is because I couldn't think of anything to say about him. And I still can't. So...
You will have to come up with something on your own.
Happy Memorial Day!

Tweak Tweak Review
Tweak Tweak by Eve Bunting, illustrated by Sergio Ruzzier
Little Elephant has a lot of questions for his mother about what little elephants can do.
Little Elephant goes on a walk with his mother and is told to tweak her tail twice every time he has a question. As they go along Little Elephant sees other animals doing all sorts of things like jumping, swimming and flying and Little Elephant wants to know if he can do those things too. Mama Elephant answers all his questions and makes sure that when she tells him there is something he can't do she tells him something just as good that he can do. It's a good story about people being different and having different skills, and being happy about the things you can do instead of upset about the things you can't. (I have to admit that the toes on Little Elephant creep me out a little. I don't know why. They just don't look right.) It's a sweet story about growing and learning and a mother encouraging her son. But in true Monkey fashion we turned it into something else entirely. Of course the elephant pictures were a hit but everyone's favorite page was the frog giving Little Elephant the finger. He's like 'get out of here Little Elephant, jumping is our thing.' Which is completely rude and so something a Shipping Monkey would say.

Requisitioned
See these ridiculous scissors? They are apparently the only pair of scissors that the Shipping Monkeys have. And we would not even have these scissors if Danny...Boy had not found them in a bag. They are stupid but they actually cut things. So thank you Danny...Boy, kudos to you. And thank you to whoever dropped them in the bag. I'm sure someone somewhere is looking everywhere for them. Too bad, they are ours now.
Elephun Wednesday
This week for Elephun Wednesday we have a very angry elephant. Obviously someone has stolen his peanut sandwich. There is nothing that will sooth the savage beast. The only thing to do is stay out of the way until the rage wears off.

Inappropriate!
Well, okay then. Bobo seems to be okay with that and is all ready for you. Have fun kids!
Now, I'm sure the Shipping Monkeys have dirtier minds than most people so maybe no one else sees this the way we do. But really. Of all the positions you could draw Bobo in, why that one?

Elephun Wednesday
Happy Elephun Wednesday Anniversary. As of May 4th Elephun Wednesday is one year old. Yes, we have been doing this for a year. And we have not even scratched the surface of the collection of elephant pictures. This week we have this lovely lady. No one has any problem seeing why sailors would jump overboard and captains would drive ships into the rocks to get to her. I'm sure her singing voice is to die for. (Do you see what I did there? Die for? Sirens? Get it?) Here's to another fun filled year of Elephun Wednesday!
Elephun Wednesday
Meet the Bubblephant. He is lighter than air and gets around by flapping his ears. Which is good for him since I don't think he could do much with those stumpy little legs of his.
