Elephant in the Wild

I went to a place called Meadhall.  Where I got no mead.  But that is another story.  This is an elephant story.  So, this place has like a thousand beers on tap which would normally have made it very hard for me to decide what I wanted.  But this place also had a special glass for almost every beer as well.  And I knew exactly what I had to get.  Delirium.  I mean, how could I not.  Pink elephants everywhere.  I might have to make this my new beer.

Pete is on a quest to find out who he is.  And for some reason he does not want to wear pants while he does it.  He is grey and big and not wearing pants so that makes him...?  Well, that is what he is trying to find out.  But when he say 'knock knock' no one ever answers.  The pictures are cute and the story is fun but I can not explain why he does not want to wear pants or why he runs around trying to tell a knock knock joke to everything and everyone.  Maybe that's the best part.  It doesn't really make sense.  Well, that and the fact that it is written by someone named Rowboat, which is cool too. 

Elephun Wednesday

I know that this is late now.  But we were on time in real life so that's all that really matters.  Because this Elephun Wednesday picture was to celebrate the birth of everyone's favorite pachyderm, our very own Bee Hee.

 Here we are celebrating friendship.  True, lasting, wonderful friendship.  As you can see the elephant and the lamb are inseparable.  Friends through thick and thin, right to the end.  It is truly inspiring.








This last one is more proof, if we needed any, that you can find a picture of an elephant doing any thing at all on the internet.  Here his good friend Owl is reading him a bedtime story.  It seems dangerous to do this on a log, but who am I to judge.  I hope the story has a happy ending.

Elephun Wednesday

Okay, so I'm behind.  But that means I have three Elephun Wednesday posts to share with you today.

This elephant has all the moves.  I think he might have heard something through the grapevine.

Happy New Years!  See, this is funny because it says 'ears' instead of years.  And elephants have big ears.  Ha Ha.  Anyway...

Elephun Wednesday

This double Elephun Wednesday post is a transportation special.  This guy is just trying to get to work.  I can't tell is he is super excited about his new job or terrified because it is almost impossible for an elephant to use a steering wheel because they have no hands.  Safe travels.

This guy is soaring through the sky.  Which seems like it would be impossible with that little tiny propeller.  Don't anyone tell him that though.  I think the only thing keeping him in the air is his ignorance of the fact that he shouldn't be up there.

So, it's a little early for Thanksgiving but we just couldn't help ourselves.  This is obviously a card.  You know, something you are supposed to send out to people you like.  Who wants to get a card like this?  If you send me a card like this you are going to get punched in the throat.  So happy early Thanksgiving.  And if you like all the tension and bad feelings that sometimes come with the holidays, send out some of these cards.

Do you know what today is?  It is Babbit's favorite holiday.  It is National Pickle Day.

Did you know...

Cleopatra ate pickles because she thought they kept her beautiful.

In Mississippi they make Kool-Aid pickles by soaking dill pickles in kool-aid.

In Connecticut it is not officially a pickle unless it bounces.

Berrien Springs, Michigan, has dubbed itself the Christmas Pickle Capital of the World. In early December, they host a parade, led by the Grand Dillmeister, who tosses out fresh pickles to parade watchers.

Christopher Columbus gave pickles to his sailors to prevent scurvy.

Americans consume more than nine pounds of pickles per person annually.
